RAWING NOW PARIS | LE SALON DU DESSIN CONTEMPORAIN is moving to the Haut Marais, in the heart of Paris !

Following a series of different venues and then four years at the Carrousel du Louvre, DRAWING NOW PARIS is tendering a new era! The 8th DRAWING NOW PARIS | LE SALON DU DESSIN CONTEMPORAIN will take place in the heart of Paris on Wednesday 26th to Sunday 30 March 2014 at the Carreau du Temple & Espace Commines as part of FRESH, the event dedicated to new galleries. 87 international galleries will attend DRAWING NOW PARIS in 2014, selected by an independent committee made up of leading figures from the art world.

At both the Carreau du Temple and Espace Commines, DRAWING NOW PARIS will provide visitors with a full introduction to the diversity of 50 years of contemporary drawing.

The Carreau du Temple’s new layout is a fantastic showcase for exhibitors.

The 3000m2 space is spread over two floors with 55 galleries under the hall’s glass canopy, while the lower level two spacious rooms are home to 16 galleries making their first appearance at DRAWING NOW PARIS in INITIAL section. The Commines section’s glass canopy covers 15 new international galleries with a focus on emerging artists.

DRAWING TALKS, INTERVIEWS, VIDEO, and DRAWING IN PROCESS will punctuate the faire, highlighting the many facets of contemporary drawing. The cultural exhibition brought to you by Philippe Piguet will also showcase graffiti!

The Swiss Embassy in Paris has renewed its partnership with the fair as part of its cultural programme, offering its support Swiss galleries and Didier Rittener, DRAWING NOW 2013′s winner, whose exhibition can be seen at the BHV MARAIS Observatory from 12 March 2014.

On Friday, March 28th, a DRAWING NIGHT will come to punctuate the week with events at the Carreau du Temple and the Espace Commines, and in the institutions of Le Parcours.

Over the five-day event, over 20,000 visitors, collectors, professionals, and art lovers will explore the world of contemporary art as interpreted by over 400 artists.
