This exhibition demonstrates the role that photography has
consistently played in David Hockney's art over the past 30
years. Hockney, born in England and based in Los Angeles,
explores different ways of working with the camera, while
continuing to produce paintings and print works that often depict
the landscape of Southern California.
The exhibition has toured
extensively in Europe and will close in Los Angeles, its only
United States venue. It is accompanied by a fully illustrated
catalogue. Organized by the Museum Ludwig, Cologne, the
exhibition is coordinated by MOCA associate curator Alma Ruiz.
