Florence Lynch Gallery is pleased to present an exhibition of recent paintings and works on paper by Maria Morganti.
For this exhibition Morganti presents a series of paintings and works on paper which aptly display her continued interest in color, movement, and form.
In a recent essay Angela Madesani writes of Morganti’s work:
"One of the most significant aspects of Morganti’s work is precisely her relationship with the medium, aiming at an exploration, which has persisted for fifteen years: daily, laboriously, meticulously. Paraphrase Deleuze, repetition and difference. Her works have grown, changed, and yet remain poetically close to one another. Her painting brings with it a long labor of looking to discover its meaning. It requires meditation. It is often a critical reflection on the media, expressed through painting itself, free from mannered conceptualism, false elaboration, and artifice."
(Madesani is a Critic and Curator living and working in Milan, Italy)
Maria Morganti’s work has been exhibition in galleries and Museums in the US and in Europe.
