The Body of Energy (of the Mind). The Italian media artist and performer wants to give shape to the invisible and make it visible by using infrared technology
The nomadic transnational project titled The Body of Energy (of the mind) by Italian artist Stefano Cagol will stop on March 18 at Kunst Halle Sankt Gallen (CH) interacting with environment and public. The project started in Bergen, Norway on October 3, 2014, and final action will be at ZKM Karlsruhe on March 21, 2015 after stopping by many European Museums, arriving till the border of Europe in Gibraltar. The project The Body of Energy (of the mind) shows what is not visible to eyes. It gives shape to energy. For doing this, the artist started a 6 months expedition through different nations of Europe "scanning the new energy". Capturing traces of energy, jets of energy, actions of energy, captured also by an infrared camera, used as symbolic energy keeper. The project is realized with the support of RWE Stiftung fur Energie und Gesellschaft GmbH as Stefano Cagol is recipient of its Visit artist in residence programme.
