Artists' Homes. First in a new series within public program
In a new series within our public program called 'Artists Homes', we visit the studios and homes of artists living and working within Styrian region. The first in the series is established and widely known artist, Richard Kriesche. Wednesday, 12 November 2014, 7 p.m. Sackstrabe 22, 8010 Graz, 1st floor. Richard Kriesche, born 1940 in Vienna, works and lives in Graz as well as in Vienna. He completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in 1963 and started teaching at the Hohere Technische Bundeslehranstalt Graz. In 1984 he founded 'kulturd@ta' and began teaching at the Vienna University of Technology. Kriesche was a fulltime professor at the Hochschule fur Gestaltung in Offenbach Main and at the Ecole superieure des beaux arts in Paris. Since 1999 Kriesche is an independent expert at the European Commission. In 2007 he received the Austrian Decoration for Science and Art.
