Borges and Buenos Aires
From 30 October 2002 to 16 February 2003
Curator: Juan Insúa
The exhibition aims to trace the relationship between Borges and his city, which necessarily involves an understanding of the main dilemmas marking Argentine history.
The exhibition sets out to show how Borges mythically founded his city and, at the same time, how his literary evolution led him to make it universal, in one of the century's most singular aesthetic operations.
The idea behind this exhibition is to create a different aesthetic experience that allows us to continue our exploration of the resources and limits of the exhibition genre, one of the objectives that characterises the general spirit of the cycle "Cities and their Writers".
Alongside this exhibition we present Kosmopolis. International Festival of Literature, from 11 to 15 December.
