Close Conversation, between curators and painters

sintesi del comunicato stampa

MoMA presents a series of one-on-one conversations between curators and painters in front of their paintings on view in the exhibition "The Forever Now: Contemporary Painting in an Atemporal World". All conversations take place in The International Council of The Museum of Modern Art Exhibition Gallery, sixth floor, unless otherwise noted. Seating is extremely limited. Southern California artist Mary Weatherford is a reanimator of ideas rather than formal gestures, and her paintings belong to the particularly American history of the Western landscape, from desert scenes and cowboy epics to the color fields of artists like Clyfford Still. All of her paintings are land- and cityscapes, and most are named for the location they represent.
