Performance at 7pm, followed by the launch of the book 'Circular Facts'. A short story based on a distant memory with a long musical interlude moves from a suspenseful narrative written in pulp literary Arabic for a cancelled exhibition to a long musical interlude in which Khan performs one of his latest compositions based on a syncopated shifting string progression, modulated percussive arrangements, dense reed horns and barely contained tonal scintillations. It is driven by the ongoing attempt to discover the workd; the direct and abstract power of musicd; childhood memoriesd; the relentless anger the artist depends upon when writingd; and the elusive search for a simplicity that remains complex.
